Annie Cresta was born in District Four and it was her home. She grew up on the water, teaching her many brothers and sisters to swim and fishing when she had free time. Her life was simple, and while her brothers trained to be careers, Annie wanted nothing to do with it. Annie was simple, but by no means dumb. She saw what the Games did to people and it disgusted her. Slaughtering children… Annie couldn’t bare it and she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. Despite all that the Capitol play-boy Finnick wormed his way into her heart. In him she saw something more, not just the façade the Capitol gave him and she fell for him. Hard.
He was the sort of boy her brothers warned her about, but he was so charming and genuine that they couldn’t help but like him as well… until the day she was reaped.
Annie knew it was coming. She knew that something was off. She could just sense it. It was a ploy to control Finnick, because no one ever thought tiny little Annie would win the Games at fifteen. No, she would die and Finnick would be a Capitol Pet once more. Only that’s not how it went. She won, by hiding, but something snapped in her mind. Seeing her friend beheaded, a boy she had known her entire life did something to her, but even then it was what happened afterwards that truly broke Annie. She was taken out the Arena, and President Snow wouldn’t have a Victor that hadn’t killed. It just wasn’t how the Games worked. He had to make her look weak, weaker than she already did, and so with the help of some tracker jacker venom, he broke her. To this day her mind slips away from her, hiding just like she had in her Games.
She stayed in District Four, never Mentoring, until the Rebellion. Annie wasn’t planning on fighting, having always been nonviolent by nature, but the Capitol came for her and Finnick, determined to make sure they didn’t have any ideas about joining the rebellion. One of her brothers was killed and Annie joined the rebellion. Now that it’s over, she finally feels safe, but that doesn’t stop her mind from trying to escape or from waking up in the middle of the night screaming.

Unfortunately we’re still waiting on a few Glimmer & Annie Cresta bios so I can’t cast them today I don’t think, which gives everyone more time if they need.
